Every genuine bar has the brand name and grade rolled (embossed) onto it at regular gaps along its length. For TATA Tiscon, Tata asks buyers to look for the 550SD / SD 550D mark on the bar before buying. A bar with no marking, or a smudged, uneven one, should not be accepted.हर असली छड़ पर उसकी पूरी लंबाई में थोड़ी-थोड़ी दूरी पर ब्रांड का नाम और ग्रेड उभरा (रोल किया) होता है। TATA Tiscon के लिए टाटा खुद कहता है कि खरीदने से पहले छड़ पर 550SD / SD 550D का मार्क ज़रूर देखें। जिस छड़ पर निशान न हो या धुंधला-टेढ़ा हो, उसे न लें।

A thinner bar weighs less. The bag must show the ISI mark with a licence number (CM/L-…) and the standard for its type: IS 269 for OPC, IS 1489 (Part 1) for PPC, IS 455 for PSC.
